icmpdnd - ICMP domain name responder

.B icmpdnd
[ \fB-nh\fP ] [ \fB-t\fP \fIttl\fP ] [ \fB-d\fP \fIdomainname\fP ]
.SH DESCRIPTION
\fBicmpdnd\fP is daemon that answers ICMP host name requests. It is
capable of handling requests over both IPv4 and IPv6.

When called without arguments, \fBicmpdnd\fP will answer requests with
the host name that is specified in the operating system through the
\fBsethostname\fP(2) and \fBsetdomainname\fP(2) calls. On GNU/Linux,
these are normally called by the \fBhostname\fP(1) program.

.B -h
Print a brief usage message and exit.

.B -n
Do not daemonize, but continue to run on the calling terminal.

.B -t
Set the TTL (Time-to-Live) value in responses to \fIttl\fP seconds,
rather than the default of 3600 seconds.

.B -d
Set the domain name in responses to \fIdomainname\fP, rather than the
default as described above. This option is useful in case the system
is not configured to set up its own hostname.
